Following numerous meetings and late nights, it has been decided that Strummercamp will be moving to a new venue, a few
miles down the road from Macclesfield to Bowdon Rugby Club.
Faced with the unthinkable scenario of cancelling this years event, the Amigos were determined not to let down the loyal folk
who have supported the Festival over the last three years, and went flat out to find an alternative festival site after events
beyond all control threatened to de-rail this years Strummercamp.
The site will not interfere with anybodies travel arrangements, as it is in close proximity to Macclesfield Rugby Club, and
is in fact, closer to the main motorway and train networks, and is "next door" to Manchester Airport. More details about
the new venue will appear on the festival page very soon, in the meantime, please feel free to forward any queries to to any
of the email contacts on the contacts page.
We are confident that you will all enjoy another great festival at our new home, and we look forward to welcoming you all
to Strummercamp very soon!

The Amigos are pleased to announce KOOPA will be joining the bill at this years Strummercamp. KOOPA carved a name for themselves
when they became the first unsigned band to enter the official UK top 40 back in January of last year, they then went on to
have two more unsigned hits culminating in the track "The Crash" reaching #16.

The band are currently in Nashville, TN laying the foundations of their debut album, and will be be heading off to Los Angeles
at the start of April to go in to full production of the album which will be produced by Mark Hoppus of +44 and ex Blink 182,
and will be engineered by Chris Holmes, best known for his work with Rick Rubin and The Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Artists queing
up to contribute to the album include, Lemmy and Dizzy Read.
Shortly after finishing the ablbum, they head off on a UK tour, joining the festival on Sunday 25 May, showcasing tracks from
their new album to a discerning Strummercamp audience. Big things are expected of KOOPA, and this years festival goers will
be lucky enough to be able to say "I was there!!"

The Amigos are delighted to welcome Dr Huxtable, and the Axis Sound System to this years Strummercamp. The Axis Sound System
spin original roots Jamaican reggae and have worked with many of the greats from Joseph Hill to Max Romeo and Dillinger to
Junior Murvin.
Having worked at Wickerman and the Big Chill, Dr Huxtable will no doubt know a thing or two about the festival vibe and will
have their own tent pumping out the beat all weekend. The authentic Jamaican blues will complement this years Strummercamp
superbly and will add to the overall ambience of the weekend. This is a truly exciting addition to this years bill, and we
hope you'll all pay them a visit and enjoy their unique and ispirational musical offering.
